BEFORE YOU PICK A TIME

What the call actually is

Half an hour on the phone, and Micah makes the call at the time you choose. There is no charge for it, and you will not be handed to anyone else.

  1. Your day first

    Where you are married, the hour of the ceremony, who is travelling in, and what the day is shaped like. This part is not a formality. How a film is covered depends entirely on how the day runs.

  2. What a film covers

    How coverage is built around your hours, what is filmed and by how many cameras, how your own voices carry the film, and when you receive it.

  3. What it costs

    Said plainly, on the call, with the number that applies to your date and your hours. Nothing is quoted before Micah understands the day.

  4. Whether your date is open

    Only a small number of weddings are taken each season. If yours is still open you will know on the call, and if it is not, he will tell you then rather than later.

What to have ready

None of this is required, and the call works without it. It simply makes half an hour go further.

  • Your date, or the two or three you are choosing between
  • The venue, or the town, if the venue is not settled yet
  • Roughly how many guests you expect
  • The hour you are hoping to be married
  • Anything you already know the film has to hold, the speeches, the first dance, a grandparent who may not travel again

Is this a sales call?
It is a conversation about your day, and it ends with a straight answer either way. If a Momentra film is not the right thing for your wedding, Micah will say so on the call. He would rather tell you in half an hour than take a booking that was never a fit.
What does a wedding film cost?
It depends on your hours and what the film covers, so the honest number comes on the call. If you would rather see the shape of it first, you can build a collection and watch the price move as you go on the Curate Your Keepsake page.
Do you travel to our venue?
Yes, throughout Alberta and the Canadian Rockies, and beyond them for the right wedding. There are notes on the light, the seasons and the travel for each place we film on the locations pages.
Can we see your work before we talk?
Please do. Full films, ceremonies and highlight reels are on the portfolio page. Watching one first tends to make the call much shorter and much better.
What happens after we book a time?
You can add the call to your own calendar from the confirmation, and we reach out to confirm the details before it. Then Micah calls you at the time you picked.
How far ahead should we call?
As soon as you have a date, even a provisional one. Seasons close in the order they fill, and the call costs you nothing but the half hour.
